A Holiday Farm

About 2km from the Cango Caves is Wilgewandel Holiday Farm. We thought it was the perfect place to relax and have lunch after our tour of the caves. The restaurant at Cango Caves didn’t have what we felt like eating but Wilgewandel had. It wasn’t that we knew but when we checked out the menu, we had no problem picking our meals.

This wishing well is rather cute. It has the Top 5 Wishes to make it easy for the guest to decide on a wish. Mine will be to eat without getting fat. Ha-ha! What’s yours?

I wonder what these two wished for.

It is a fun place for children. My little girl couldn’t wait to start playing. She actually wanted to go on the boat ride. Her dad said no as she doesn’t know how to swim. (I suppose we were hoping she’d be motivated to learn and not be too scared at lessons.) There are also water slides but we didn’t plan to get wet.Perhaps another time.

The restaurant area is spacious enough.

Beautiful peacocks are welcome to share the food. 🙂

After our late lunch, we enjoyed our camel ride. It was my first ever ride. As I wrote here, it was pretty scary for me at first but I eventually relaxed. I really need to go for my horseback riding lessons, I think.

It was definitely a good stop after the Cango Caves. The farm even has stones that predict the weather. They are very much the same as the stone in Cathedral Peak in the Drakensberg.

Where to next? 🙂
