As far as I’m concerned, it doesn’t really matter if these French macarons are in order – that is, arranged beautifully – or not. If I could take them all home, I would. That can be quite pricey though. But, cost not an issue, I can eat them all in one day. I’m not kidding.
The best macarons I’ve had so far are from ‘Oh My Cake’. I first discovered them at the Cedar Square Night Market, held every 3rd Thursday of the month, but they have a small shop in The Gantry, near Sevens, in Fourways. And no, I’m not paid to promote them. I just really love their macarons.
The first time I got a dozen for me, they were packed in this beautiful box.
I love Oh My Cake‘s french macarons so much that I ordered my little girl’s birthday cake from them. They don’t even do Disney themes but this was close enought to Frozen. This small cake was quite expensive but it was delicious. We also ordered some cup cakes. However, I don’t think the kids knew the difference. Haha!
When I ordered the cake, I couldn’t help myself and had to get a dozen. Of course, I ate one even before I could take a picture.
P.S. Tasha’s in Hyde Park has delicious macarons, too. The Bread Basket in Sandton City, not so much.
