Last night, in Africa, we spent about two hours looking up to the heavens. The African sky on this winter’s night was clear as it put on a show for us. No, we didn’t sit outside in the cold but we did come out often to see the moon disappear slowly.
Yesterday, Friday, July 27, 2018, I watched the lunar eclipse. I was amazed. At the end, I did see that it was, indeed, a blood moon.
I understand that this isn’t a travel post. It is not a food or golf post, too. But, if you didn’t live in Africa, it’s almost like a travel post, so please humor me. 🙂 Thank you!

Just like you were here with us in Africa. And, it would have taken you a couple of minutes only to go through this whole post, if at all. 🙂
I'm a Philippine island girl in Africa, a Filipino-South African.
A mad banana woman that I am, I live "la vida loca". The banana part isn’t only because I'm Anna (Banana) but because an old boyfriend had observed that although Asian (yellow on the outside) I'm very much Caucasian in my way of thinking (white in the inside) and my actions, too. It's a rather accurate observation. I am that liberal-thinking and modern-acting Filipino... I remain my tragic-comedic self with a day job in slightly more serious field of Finance, Business Operations and Corporate Affairs.

Very nice photos 🙂 . The clouds got in the way of my seeing the lunar eclipse last night, so I really enjoyed your hubby’s shots. Thanks for sharing, Anne 🙂 .
Hi Ana. It’s such a pity you couldn’t enjoy it in person. It was really quite amazing watching the moon “disappear” slowly. A real pleasure to share, and thank you so much! It’s awesome to hear you enjoyed the “show”. 😊 Much love and hugs. ❤🤗
Wowww !!! Wonderful pictures shot with a Lumix 🙂 … one of my fav camera…. I too saw the lunar eclipse the day before and and wrote a post on it today. Do check out my pictures as well 🙂 cheers
Hey Abrie. I hope you’ve been well. Life has taken over my writing self, too. I thought I’d be back on track last month… I’m more hopeful this month. It’s spring, after all. 🙂🤗
Oh! You had the lunar eclipse in July! We just had one in late January, so beautiful. And moving. Congrats to your sweetie for those fine photos. I have a very modest photo of our eclipse, taken with only a smartphone through the lens of a home telescope, and I only got the camera to line up once at the beginning with the lens, but oh well! https://wp.me/p3OFLC-2bu
And tell me, what do you use to put a watermark on your photos? I’m thinking of starting the same for my photos on the blog. So confusing how to do it, though! I know you’re a whiz with these technical things. 🙂 Take care, my friend! 🙂
The eclipse is totally awe-inspiring, right? We were in winter and it was rather cold. If it wasn’t, It Would have stayed out watching the show.
Hubby was using a proper camera. He still believes in it. I use my mobile phone all the time. And, believe it or not, unlike him who easily learns new software applications so he can use Photoshop, I use Paint, which comes standard with Windows.
I still love your photo. I wouldn’t have thought it’s taken with mobile phone. I failed miserably. 😄
I’m so happy to be back, “talking” with you again. Much love and hugs, my friend. Take care! 🤗❤😘
Wow…. So beautiful.

I didn’t notice there was an eclipse last night, but I did know it was very clear and bright on my flight from Seattle to Atlanta.
Awesome pictures!

Those were great photos, and it’s so interesting that we both blogged about the eclipse. I think there is something in that. 🙂
